It was a very snowy Saturday here in Minnesota and with nothing else to do, we decided to make the slow trek to the Ice Castles in Stillwater. It was cold you guys! That's the funny thing about Minnesota winters, no matter how long you live here, you never get used to the cold. The Ice Castles were pretty amazing though. There were little pathways everywhere leading into different rooms. The blue tones of the ice really popped and were quite beautiful.

Minneapolis always felt big to us with its tall buildings, large stadiums, and busy transit systems. There's something about seeing a lot of people walking around to go to work or a filled corner restaurant that adds to the excitement and somehow size of a place. It wasn't until we flew back from an extended weekend in Chicago last year that made Minneapolis feel unexpectedly small.
